Sunny Singles are hiking again!
This trip began with 3 Singes at 7am at the W. Richland Park and Ride. A fourth Sunny Single member showed up to say "Hi" but couldn't go on the hike.

We carpooled to Sunnyside to pick up another Single and then we were off to breakfast at Linda's Restaurant in Bigg's Jct. After a great truck stop breakfast we were off again to Ainsworth State Park to begin our hike.

Horse Tail Falls

Right after we parked the cars we were treated to a photo opp of Horsetail falls and the obligatory group photo.

Half way to the top of Horsetail falls, we found a fantastic waterfall and a perfect pool to swim in. It is defnitely not beyond Sunny Singles members to pass up an opportunity to swim in crystal clear pools from a breathtaking waterfall!

After a quick swim, we hiked to the top of Horsetail falls and checked out the Oneonta Gorge and some fantastic views overlooking the Columbia Gorge.

Everyone was still feeling rather spunky, so we carried on and hiked up to Triple falls. We found some small pools of water in between the cascading water to play and hang out in.

The day was starting to fade and our water bottles almost emptied, we turned around to head down the trail. We took a different trail back to the cars which led us to other Columbia Gorge overlooks. A quick tally of our hike looked to be about 6 miles of actualy hiking for the day.

One SS member had made reservations and stayed in Cascade Locks for the evening, while the rest headed back to the Tri-cities. We stopped at Biggs Jct again for an ice cream, and then went across the bridge to check out Stonehenge.

After climbing around Stonehenge for a half hour or so, we drove up to Toppenish for a fantastic Mexican dinner at the Villasenior restaurant. Great food!
